The key of the success of Mach40 project

All Purpose sails : from design to manufacture of sails
Sail design :
The design of the sails of these two boats, even before their start was made possible by the excellent relations between the skipper, the shipbuilding yard JPS Production, the naval architect Sam Manuard, Axxon rigger Eric Duchemin and All Purpose sail loft.
Developments were made possible by the exchange of information between the partners, concerning rigging in particular, such as: a masthead designed to support large reaching sails, or a change in the position of the D1 anchors (low-struts) to optimize the distribution of sail surfaces between the mainsailsail and sole, in compliance with the Class40 gauge.
Sail manufacture
All Purpose worked closely with CLM on the development of the Trilam ® membrane manufacturing process. This membrane is made with Dyneema fand Black technora fibres. Trilam ® membrane has proved to be very resistant, with exceptional shape stability and resistance to UV. All these qualities are necssary for ocean racing.
Results on water
Jorg Riechers won the Solidaire du Chocolat on Mare, Aloys Claquin is 2011 World champion on Jack in the Box. These are the latest Mach40 designed by Sam Manuard and equipped with All Purpose sails.
